Autograph letter signed, dated : [Barmen, 10 May 1855], to Michael Schloss in Cologne, 1855 May 10.

Saying he learned from Hahn that Schloss has harbored a resentment towards him since [August Ferdinand?] Riccius withdrew his patronage, stating that while in Cologne he bought all scores from Schloss and recommended many clients to him, explaining that he could not have his students in Barmen buy from Schloss since that would antagonize [Friedrich Wilhelm] Arnold (who published one of Reinecke's sonatas while Schloss has rejected everything), etc.
